Professor Abd al-Fattah El-Awaisi is the founder of the new field of inquiry of IslamicJerusalem Studies with interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches.

He is also the first Chair in Islamicjerusalem Studies and the Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Al-Maktoum Institute.
